Change Makers Panel – Shifting Landscapes: The Art of Change, The Practice of Community
October 16 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Panelists include Louise Martorano, Community Arts Stabilization Trust (CAST), Managing Director of National Programs, Gary Steuer Philanthropy, nonprofit management, and Danielle See Walker, artist, writer, and activist. Rooted in the belief that meaningful responses to change are cultivated through collective practice, courageous conversation, and mind-body connection, this gathering will explore how individuals and organizations can navigate disruption, move through roadblocks, deepen belonging, and strengthen relationships across communities in Colorado and the Front Range. Organized and facilitated by Colorado Change Leader alums Rachel Hanson and Helanius J. Wilkins, and envisioned as a continuation for a broader effort toward an ongoing annual convening, the panel invites participants to reflect, imagine, and connect across sectors while drawing on decades of art and social change practice to consider how community itself can become a thriving and creative, embodied response to shifting times.
This event emerges from – and is part of – Wilkins’s ongoing art and social justice-based work The Conversation Series: Stitching the Geopolitical Quilt to Re-Body Belonging. (https://www.helaniusj.com/the-conversation-series).
Light refreshments – 50 people. RSVP soon!
