Here in Old Town Lafayette, our heart is in the community, people, and businesses that call us home. To help us continue to serve and support our local artists, artisans, nonprofits, and entrepreneurs, we work with a variety of partners and organizations throughout the region. Our joint mission is to continue economic growth and development through the city, as well as foster a place where creativity and diversity can continue to flourish. Below is an overview of our “Old Town Team.”
Organizations
City of Lafayette: Lafayette’s panoramic view of the Rocky Mountains inspires our view into the future. We value our heritage, our unique neighborhoods, a vibrant economy and active lifestyles. We envision a future that mixes small town livability with balanced growth and superior city services.
Lafayette Chamber: “We Help Businesses Thrive.” The Lafayette Chamber is an action-oriented membership organization that has served as the voice of the Lafayette business community since 1954. It proudly represents the business interests of Lafayette and the surrounding area by providing opportunities to Chamber members to market and promote their products and services to a wide array of customers and consumers.
Lafayette Old Town Association: LOTA, made up of residents, puts on the Old Town Lafayette Garden Tour every year. Proceeds from this event go to giving grants to local residents to fix up their homes.
The Lafayette Downtown Development Authority: DDA works to enhance and preserve Old Town Lafayette as a vibrant and welcoming downtown for small businesses and community connections. Established in 2025 with voter support, the DDA is a collaborative, quasi-governmental organization focused on strategic improvements that benefit small businesses, residents, and visitors.Guided by the Old Town Tomorrow: Action Plan—our official Plan of Development—the DDA invests in projects and partnerships that reflect Old Town’s creative, eclectic character and strengthen its role as a community hub. We coordinate closely with small business owners, property owners, community groups, and the City of Lafayette to support long-term planning and district-wide improvements.
