Every two years, the Lafayette Historic Preservation Board presents numerous Heritage Awards to building owners who are helping to preserve the architectural history of Lafayette and maintain its historic community feeling. New in 2011 was the recognition of three outbuildings, for their contribution to connecting modern Lafayette with its agricultural and commercial history.
